Just a note to say... Finally I've updated this page on the 6 June 2011 (for now). It took me several weeks really. Now I've also included some album covers and YouTube videos. In actual fact some visitors that have suggested perhaps I should include some song clips or pictures albums. As I'm not selling items in here, copyright issue(s) should not be a problem - I hope. Happy at last, today I've received the original mastered song by Donna Summer 'Can't Understand' featured in the album 'FUNKY FRAULEINS' and the 'HIT MAN RETURNS DAVID FOSTER & FRIENDS'. I've ordered the CDs on the 1st April 2011.

To my surprised, today I've received a package containing a CD by The Three Degrees '3D'. I was introduced to the album way back in 1979, by my sister. I love the tracks from the first moment she played the album. A couple of years ago, I bought the LP at a CD fare. As soon as I found out the album was re-mastered with extra 12" versions I wanted it. Ha ha ha, but I did not know that my friend have decided to purchased it as a gift for me! THANKS MAN...

Today I bought two new CDs with a friend. I always wanted the CD after seeing the singer - Imelda May performed live on TV. I love the album titled 'MAYHEM'. Another CD that I've bought was by The Pointer Sisters... oh YES. I have been looking high and low for the 12" Version of 'I'M SO EXCITED' and 'DARE YOU' for years! FINALLY... I got it compiled in a greatest hits CD - 'GOLDMINE: THE BEST OF THE POINTER SISTERS'.

A brand new year! I was at home 'relaxing' and I decided to watch some old VHS tapes that I've recorded many years ago... The shows are from the BBC jazz series from Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington to Louis Armstrong. While I was watching the show I said to myself how I wish I could see them in concert - that would have been so great. But in reality 'come on'... Well never mind as long I could still enjoy them on TV, DVD and other ways, that's good enough. Billie, Dinah and Louis have recorded many great tunes. They have also recorded one jazz track that I love so much titled 'All Of Me'. From the three 'MASTERS' there are one version that I love most - recorded by Billie Holiday. It's so beautiful and Billie's voice is just so so so... This is her version.
I may not be able to see all three JAZZ MASTERS in concert, but I've managed to see another jazz legend! The one and only NINA SIMONE. It was a fantastic show and a great moment to be at the concert. Sadly a year after Simone's show in London, she left us all... forever...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my DONNA SUMMER face book group. She is *3* today ;-) Today also the day that I met Bryan Ferry at Selridges for an advance copy of his new CD 'OLYMPIA' plus a signed copy! It was great to meet the star (besides seeing him on stage) finally face to face and talk very briefly with him.

Bryan Ferry NEW CD! An e-mail noted that if I would like to be the 100 LUCKY fans to be able to meet the star and to purchase the advance copy that will be signed by Bryan Ferry himself on the day. WOW I'll say YES...! 59 minutes later I've received an e-mail stated that I've won a moment with the star at Selfridges London, that I'm on the list of lucky winners. Huraayyyyyyyy...I can't wait.

Once I was at a record store and this came into my mind - Joshua Radin? Who is he? The CD cover looks very interesting and it was in the sale for £3.00. I put it back and never thought about it at all. But after a few days later, I went back to the shop and I've decided to give it a try and purchased the album. To my surprised I love all the tracks, not normally my type of tune but HEY this ONE is worth the gamble! 'SIMPLE TIMES' is the tile.

Today I feel love with 'TO PARIS WITH LOVE' by Donna Summer! It's my second purchased from the cyber space store. I'm not a big fan of download music; the sound quality can't be as good as a hard copy but I have to get the single - it's available only in this format. Still it is a great tune & I love the single!

Do you remember yesterday's music? Well I do! There are so many music I have put on (old & new) while I'm working on my DONNA SUMMER BOOK! Just name it from the 1970s classic Bollywood songs of the film 'Julie' and 'Chalte Chalte' to Gloria Gaynor's 'I WILL SURVIVE' CD single to my new bought CDs.
I must say that at present CD's by Sade 'SOLDIER OF LOVE', Jamie Cullum 'THE PURSUIT', Corinne Bailey Rae 'THE SEA', Madonna 'HARD CANDY', Mariah Carey 'E=M2' to the 'SEX IN THE CITY 2 SOUNDTRACK' - are the new playlist. Stop Look And Listen - I have been listening to a lot of music today while working on the book project. Not only records by Donna Summer but also by Jody Watley 'MIDNIGHT LOUNGE', Nina Simone 'MY BABY JUST CARES FOR ME' to world music acts such as Uji Rashid 'BISIKAN HATI', Sheila Majid 'WARNA' and many more. However the best part of it all - I have received an e-mail from Donna Summer's management stating that they are aware of the book project. I am so thrilled to received the news... this is one of the 'Birthday Gifts' that I will always remember ha ha ha.

Wow what a day! I am so excited as I finally found some of my music WISH LIST. Hu Raaayyyy. Thank you to Baya, my friend. She took me to the antique collectors and second hand record place. I found lots of the LP's that I was hunting for such a long time. To name a few, Donna Summer 'LOVE TO LOVE YOU BABY' that included 'Virgin Mary' - I could not find it in the UK but I got all the way in Malaysia! and also three LP's of my friend and favourite singer Uji Rashid's 1976, 1977 and the best was 'BISIKAN HATI'. I looked at Baya and I said "Oh my this is what I have been wanting on LP since 1988". She smiled and I got it. However the LP condition was not too good... So my search on 'BISIKAN HATI' LP will carry on... But I had a GREAT time out with my friend. Thank you dear old friend.

Today I have decided to re-arranged my LP's. Just time for my afternoon shower I put on the LP by Kenny Thomas titled 'WAIT FOR ME'. What a great album!I did questioned myself why on this GOD GREEN EARTH, I did not keep the LP in my UK home? Instead I shipped it to my parents in Malaysia. Well get over it! It is here now and I am going to listen to Kenny's album until my return to the UK.
'STAY', 'PEICE BY PIECE', 'TRIPPIN' ON YOUR LOVE' and lots more seems to get me dancing!

WOW what can I say? I finally had the chance to listen to the project of 'THE MAKEOVER INTERNATIONAL' by Jody Watley. FAB tracks!
I am so IN LOVE with the new smooth version of' 'WAITING IN VAIN' - the song has been one of my regular play list. The first version of the song was released in 2007 (dance upbeat concept) taken from 'THE MAKEOVER' album and I am still playing the track to date. The original tune was recorded by the late Bob Marley. Love his recording too.
So lets dance to 'THE MAKEOVER'!

The making of my Donna Summer book was mentioned and promoted briefly while I was interviewed in Malaysia with regards to my interior design work(s). The interview was at the MHI TV3 morning talk show. It was FAB seeing the promo photo on the TV screen! Hurray....

HISTORY! BREAKING NEWS! My DONNA SUMMER book is on its WAY!
As noted from the publisher: 'With further reference to our letter...we found Donna Summer...to be an interesting work. The essential information is all there...We confirm that we would be pleased to work with you to publication'.
I am so thrilled! The manuscript was mailed to the publisher on the 21 September 2009, I must say that at first I was so worried to open up the e-mail, but HEY!!! Love it Love it.

It was a relaxing morning for me and I have decided to take a walk to town hoping that I might get LUCKY!
Actually I was hunting for one of the most 'talk' album, 'I LOOK TO YOU' by Whitney Houston. I went to the counter of the music store and ask for the CD. YES lucky indeed, when finally I got hold of the very last copy from the US.
I went home straight away and I played the CD. LOVING every minute of the tunes!. 'FOR THE LOVERS' is my FAVOURITE song from the album and I know I will be playing this CD for a very long time!

World music tune 'SEKADAR IN PINGGIRAN' video filmed today in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur! I am on it, playing a part with the SUPER DOOOOPER singer Francissca Peter. Will the video be out on TV? Lets hope so. It was a great DAY for me. New chapter to my creative world. Thank you BIB and FRAN! Also that VERY '1' person that makes me look good - LYANNA DEE! Also thanks to the production house.

My oh My it was 15 years ago today that I have bought my VERY 1st CD - 'THE DONNA SUMMER ANTHOLOGY'. It was at 11.50 am, me and two other friends Adrian and Sophie when into a local record shop in Leicester called MG. What a day. We went home to Adrian's room to play the CD. The other two friends was busy talking to each other but me... I was in my own little world listening to the CD as I do not have a CD player at that time. My friends are not a big fan of Donna Summer but since it was my birthday they can not say anything! ha ha ha.

Anyway I was looking at my music collections today and suddenly I came across M PEOPLE's 12". Wow I realised that I bought the 12" as a gift to myself for achieving Second Upper class (2.1) for my BA (Hons) in Interior Design 12 years ago!
Those are the days when M PEOPLE was HOT!

Lets dim all the lights and enjoy; 'THE QUEEN IS BACK', 'MR MUSIC', 'CRAYONS', 'IT'S ONLY LOVE', 'BE MYSELF AGAIN' & more...all GREAT tunes. I love it.

I was amassed by this world music track I have listened earlier on today title 'HILANG RESAH TIMBUL SAYANG' recorded by Uji Rashid and D J Dave in 1976.
I first listened to the song around the late 1980's on the radio and yes at that time I could not find the track in any albums because it was no longer available. I really wanted the track and I was looking hing and low for the album. By LUCK on 31 May 2005 I finally found the original LP, at a second hand record shop in Kuala Lumpur. I was so HAPPY and GOD only knows how I felt that very moment when I saw the LP in front of my eyes! It took me almost over 20 years to get hold of this track. Of course the price that I paid for is higher compared when it was first released! But it was worth it and I got it at the end!Thank you also to my friend, Khairol who took me there when I am on Holiday in Malaysia. Just because I LOVE MUSIC...
